Ana Done is an accomplished and versatile violinist with a passion for music that shines through every performance. With a deep understanding of the instrument and a mastery of technique, Ana captivates audiences with her expressive and emotive playing style.
Ana began her studies in violin at the age of 7 in her native country of Romania. Ana and her family immigrated to Dallas, Texas in 2006 where she continued to play in various church and local orchestras. Ana competed in UIL Texas Solo Contest and received the highest marks for 5 consecutive years.
Ana has played in the Fine Arts Summer Academy alongside The Annie Moses Band at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN. She has attended various music festivals such as Eastern Music festival and Red Rocks Music Festival where she studied and worked with various professionals such as: Anne-Akiko Meyers, Midori, Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg, Shmuel Ashkenasi, and Simon Fischer.
Ana obtained her Bachelors in Music Education - Instrumental from Baylor University in 2019. She studied with Bruce Berg.
She then went on to study Chamber Music for one year in Orlando, FL with the Pegasus String Quartet at The University of Central Florida.
Ana obtained her Masters degree in Violin Performance in 2022 from Sam Houston State University under the direction of Javier Pinell.
Ana has also performed with renowened orchestras such as the Orlando Philharmonic. Her most recent experience was performing on stage with Andrea Bocelli and other artists such as Matteo Bocelli and Loren Allred in Orlando and Miami, FL.
As an artist committed to personal growth and musical excellence, Ana continues to seek new opportunities for artistic exploration and collaboration. With each performance, she strives to create a transformative and enchanting experience that resonates with audiences and leaves a lasting impression. Currently, Ana works as a High School ELA Teacher and gigs in the DFW metroplex while also maintaining her passion of performance, content creating and covering new music.
